Who We Are

The Ottawa St. Anthony Italia Soccer Club has been a focal point for the Italian community since 1952, when Fathers Jerome Ferraro and Domenico Fiore formed the St. Anthony Senior Men Soccer team which participated in the local league.

In 1959, the team was consolidated with another local team named "Italia" to form the Ottawa St. Anthony Italia senior men soccer team. During the 1960s, the senior men team won consistently in the Ottawa league until 1965, when it was entered in the Quebec National Soccer League and won the league title for five (5) times.

Although identified as an Italian club, St. Anthony has current and past soccer players of many backgrounds that truly reflect the multicultural fabric of Canada.

Currently, the Ottawa St. Anthony Italia Soccer Club fields both recreation and competitive youth, kids and adult soccer teams. In addition, the club is a centre of entertainment and multicultural events in the Ottawa-Hull area.

Teaming Up With Planet Soccer Academy

In the world of sports, even the strongest organizations realize that something is missing. As two of the top local youth soccer organizations, St. Anthony's Soccer Club has teamed up with Planet Soccer Academy and is very excited with the top training that PSA will be offering the Club at the competitive boys level.

While soccer is played with the intent to win, the ultimate goal is not winning at any cost, but rather to create a happy environment in which players have a lot of fun, engage in healthy physical activity and improve their soccer skills.

Since it's implementation, the positive effects have already started to come through. The Ottawa St. Anthony's Italia Soccer Club and Planet Soccer Academy will provide an official announcement on their team up endeavours.
